A new window is popping up just before XP opens

Just recently on both my computers running XP a new little window has
been popping up, just before XP finally opens up. It is called
PERSONALIZED SETTINGS and it is somehow linked to
c:/program files/microsoft defender services/crss.exe

or something like that.

How can I get rid of this thing? I don't like things being
installed in my computer without my knowledge.

HELP!
