MM doesn't see my camera.....

All --

My computer does not have a capture card per se -- at least I don't think it
does.
My camera (Canon HV20, tape) is connected to the computer via firewire.
Sony Vegas recognizes the camera, but MM does not.
MM DOES recognize my TV tuner card, but not the camera. The TV tuner card
is the only thing MM recognizes.

Anyone have experience with this?
