Hello! I don't understand the all on one computers..I haven't found one yet
that has a line input in order for me to record on to its hard drive using a
analog tape player..They have a mic input which will not be right..I am
trying to stay around the 800 dollar range..Interested in Lenovo all in one
but he was useless to help..He said since I don't have a Lenovo computer
support would't help me with a solution..I explained to him this is a needed
feature for me..I have called them before and they never
help..Thanks....Nick

Go buy a small chassis.....Like 2" square. Buy a 10 K
potentiometer....."Audio taper" would be best, but not really necessary. Add
an input jack and an output jack to match your equipment, and run the input
across the whole pot to ground and pick the output from the slider of the
pot to ground. With this, you will be able to adjust your volume to wherever
it needs to be so that you don't overdrive your mike input to your computer.
Everyone should build several of these, if you are going to mess with audio
equipment at all. They are indispensible......

Or buy a Soundblaster that has all the inputs you need for a few dollars.
Why complicate things ? You can get either a PCI card for a desktop or a USB
card for a laptop.

Cheers,
Jerry

Yes. From one end of the potentiometer to the other.......The other end
should be grounded. The output will be wired from the slider of the pot to
ground, so the output can be selected all the way from ground, which is no
output at all, to the other which is the full signal strength.
