help with Realtek AC97 driver

I had to get a new hard drive from a virus and after i installed XP o
the new hard drive, i had no sound. It sais i need to install th
realtek AC97 driver but at the end of installation, a blue screen pop
up and my computer shuts down. Can someone please help me?

Where did you get the driver from?? If you downloaded it, make sure
that it's compatible with your sound chip on Motherboard.
