Hi,

I have a Win XP Home Edition laptop, I noticed DVD drive won't appear in My Computer, I went to Device Manager and it says there is an error on the registry (It's like Code 28 i don't remember) so my computer won't read any CD/DVD.

Please any help

Well if it's an error you can always run CCleaner and see if it fixes the registry. Or you can try to install the drivers for the DVD drive.

if you have some of the problems installed, the windows installer creates a system restore point and a registry backup. you may restore the registry from the registry backup
hope it works
