Can't Access Shared Folders

Chuck,

Hope you're out there. I cannot access the shared docs folder or any other
shared folder on my desktop from my laptop. In anticipation of some of your
questions from other posts, I've included ping results, ipconfig results, and
browstat results from both machines below. If you need anything else, I'll
send it.

Can access all shared files on laptop from desktop.

When trying to access shared files or folders on desktop from laptop,
receive following message:
"\\Desktop\SharedDocuments is not accessible. You might not have pernission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you
have access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command."


No response to ping of laptop IP address 192.168.1.100 from desktop

Ping of desktop IP address, 192.168.1.101 frop desktop works fine.

Ping of desktop IP address and laptop IP address from laptop works fine.

You may try to modify IRPstackSize. This search result may help.

You may increase the size up to 50. Or this post may help. Please post back
with the result.
Fixed: Not enough server storage ...
Fixed: Not enough server storage when IRPStackSize=50 ... The maximum
is 50 for WinXP which worked just fine for me. One ...

Is setting the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa\restrictanonymous to 0 safe? I've read it open you up to outside hackers t though microsoft talks about it in solving seeing networked pcs. I can see and access the shared folders but get a denied access when trying to access in windows explorer the pc ip address or workgroup.
