Can not create a java virtual machine.

Hi, I've tried re-installing java from sun, and I'm getting "Can not create a
java virtual machine" when I try running a java enabled program.

I get that message too at the java control panel applet.

I'm not sure how to fix this, I've tried a few things (short of reformating
the hard disk and starting over.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JG

Java Virtual Machine (JVM) - "Could not create the Java virtual machine"
http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10309190

If the Info above didn't help, try to uninstall the Java Application and try
the cleaning steps below then reinstall the java Runtime.

Go through these Cleaning steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet

On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:

Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
How to manage Add-Ons:

ok, I tried all that. It looks like we got some nasty spyware that hooks
into our web browsers. That maybe the cause of our problems. I've tried a
few virus scanners/ adware scanners but nothing removes "asioqgusbaksd.com"
from redirecting our webpages - and possibly messing up java?

Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
JG
